Photos from a recent visit to Kenchō-ji Temple, Kamakura, Japan—the oldest and original Zen training monastery in Japan, completed in 1253. Still very large, it originally had a full shichidō garan and 49 sub-temples, and remains one of the most spectacular Zen temples in all of Japan.
